To be eligible to visit Dubai, you need to apply for a Visa. Since Dubai is one of the seven emirates which form the UAE, applying for a visa to one emirate like applying to enter the whole country. Here are some tips when applying for a visa to enter the UAE for your reference.

Getting a UAE Visa to Enter Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.

Before applying, you need to make sure you are eligible to enter the country and that you know what’s the purpose of your visit. Below are the types, countries and visa requirements to enter the UAE. We hope you find these tips useful for your information.

Types of Visa

Short-term Visit Visa, it’s valid for only 30 days, and non-renewable.
Long-term Visit Visa, It’s valid for only 90 days, and non-renewable.
Tourist Visa, it’s valid for only 30 days, and non-renewable.
Multiple-entry Visa, is given to a frequently visitors, it’s valid for 6 months but the duration of each stay shouldn’t pass 30 days.
Transit Visa, Transit passengers who are staying in the UAE’s Airports for a minimum of 8 hours are given a 96-hour transit visa. (The 3rd destination must be booked.)

Visa Applicants

If you are a GCC’s (Gulf Co-operation Council) citizen, then you will need no Visa to enter the UAE.

If you are a Western Europe and Pacific Rim citizen you will be able to get a free on-arrival Visa , which lasts for 60 days and can be renew for another 30 days.

As an Israeli, you won’t be able to access the UAE, as it doesn’t recognize Israel.

All other countries citizens should apply for a visa before travelling to the UAE through their embassies or a local sponsor or hotel in the UAE.

UAE Visa Requirements

  • Visa application form, duly filled.
  • An authorization letter with the signature of the cardholder.
  • Bank approval letter or a copy of the front and back of the credit card.
  • Passport-sized color photographs for cardholder and the visitor.
  • Visa fee.
  • Copy of confirmed flight booking.
