7 Upcoming Dubai Projects By 2020

After the announcement that Dubai is set to host the World Expo in 2020, it has brought about plenty of news and interest in the UAE in terms of developments and future plans in infrastructure, tourism and business. Here are some interesting ones we’ve compiled based on updates we’ve received.

Definitely the 2020 is something a lot of people, both locals and expats in the emirate, are anticipating. This puts Dubai on the world map even more as it continues to showcase itself of how ambitions can be made into reality, that even from all desert sand can bring forth amazing wonders.

Exciting Projects in Dubai Set to Be Completed by 2020

Here is a list of Dubai projects that you might have heard about that is going to be built very soon. Check them out below:

1. Aladdin City

Inspired by ancient legends of fictional heroes of Aladdin’s story, Dubai Municipality works on a new iconic project that will end in 2018. The project contains three amazing towers connected together through air-conditioned bridges in the middle of Dubai’s creek.

 

2. Jewel of the Creek

Before the end of 2019, Dubai will have an important landmark tourist destination, which will include hotels, to satisfy the huge demand on rooms by 2020, apartments, and conference centers.

 

3. Museum of the Future

The museum has three stages, the first stage shows how robots and artificial intelligence improve human’s life, the second shows relation between humans and robots, and the final stage shows how will the artificial intelligence affect the decision making process. It will be open in 2018.

 

4. Bluewaters Island 

An incredible man-made island located next to Jumeirah Beach. It will contain one of the hottest attractions in Dubai, Dubai Eye, world’s largest wheel with 210 meters. The project’s cost is expected to be $1.6 billions.

 

5. Dubai Frame

Standing at 150 meters above the ground with around 105 meters wide, Dubai will boast a frame representing 2 sides of Dubai – the Old Dubai skykline can be seen from one side and on the other side, you will see the skyline of New Dubai. The project will cost AED 160 million.

 

6. Dubai Hills Mall

Dubai wants to have another huge mall, Dubai Hills Mall. The mall boasts over 750 retail and F&B outlets, many family entertainment centers, a screen cineplex, a great square-food hypermarket, and huge parking spaces for more than 7,000 vehicles.

 

7. Dubai Creek Tower

Dubai Creek Tower will be the centerpiece of Dubai Creek Harbour, it’s designed upon inspiration from the lily flower and traditional minarets. It will consist of many observation decks that allows you to have a 360° view, glass balconies that rotate outside the wall of the Dubai Creek Tower, luxury hotel, more than 18 floors of shops, and more of tourist facilities.

Staging the World Expo 2020 in Dubai has made the city to be more well-known and adds a lot of hype. This also accelerates Dubai’s government to finish the developing projects as soon as possible in time for the grand event.
