Dubai has opened global registration for One Million Prompters, a free training program that teaches people how to use artificial intelligence tools more effectively. Learners who complete the course can earn a certificate in AI prompt engineering.
The program is led by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI). It aims to train one million people over three years.
What the Program Teaches
The course focuses on prompt engineering, the skill of giving clear and useful instructions to AI tools. These include chatbots, writing assistants, design platforms, and other generative AI systems.
The digital course is designed to help learners bring AI into their daily lives, work more productively, and build skills for a changing job market.
Part of a Bigger Vision
One Million Prompters first launched in May 2024 under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation.
The initiative supports Dubai’s goal of becoming a global leader in AI adoption. It also falls under the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, which seeks to develop AI talent and expand the use of AI across industries.
Open to Everyone, Not Just Programmers
You don’t need a technical background to take part. The course welcomes people from business, creative, office, education, and other professional fields who want to use AI in their everyday work.
Four Modules, One Certificate
The program is divided into four learning modules:
- Unleashing the Power of AI: Covers the basics of AI, generative AI, and prompt literacy
- Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots: Shows learners how to get better results from chatbot conversations
- AI-Powered Productivity Revolution: Focuses on using AI to save time, organize tasks, and improve work output
- Creative Frontiers with Generative AI: Explores AI in creative fields such as art, music, and video production
Learners who finish all four modules and pass the required quizzes and assessments receive a certificate in AI prompt engineering.
Building on Global Momentum
DCAI Director Saeed Al Falasi said the program will help people from many fields use AI in smarter, more practical ways. He added that prompt engineering can open up new possibilities for AI, from technical tasks to creative projects.
The course also builds on Dubai’s Global Prompt Engineering Championship, first held in May 2024. That event drew applicants from nearly 100 countries, with winners from India and Austria in the coding, art, and literature categories.
How to Register
For UAE residents and expats looking to grow their skills at no cost, this is a valuable opportunity to learn at your own pace. Interested learners can sign up through the official One Million Prompters website: https://dub.ai/en/omp/
